I've already read a lot of posts here, but I haven't really come to a conclusion. Which diagnostic cable variant works best with a 1Z engine in a G3 model year 1995?

Hi,

As Rudi already mentioned, my good old 1Z was a ...021 AF, which was used from 9/95 to 1/96. I have tried various adapters (including some I built myself) and haven't had any problems with communication. Currently, I am using the Auto Intern adapter with 2K lines (which is required for various AUDI models).

@Snowman: I also want to build a diagnostic connector now, but I haven't started yet. I think I'll try the standard version. My Golf is from '94, and I'll need to check the engine control unit number first, but it would definitely be interesting to hear about your (hopefully successful) experiences...
