The engine stalls when starting or jerks when accelerating.

Cause:
The vacuum connection in the intake air duct is blocked.

Solution:
In some cases, the vacuum connection (for the boost pressure control valve) in the intake air duct can become blocked.

The following error is usually recorded in the engine control unit:
17965 Boost pressure control - control limit exceeded

If the vacuum connection is blocked, the intake air duct must be replaced.
