HI

I finally had a properly warm engine and some time tonight, so I was able to get back to riding on the next straight and doing DZR-training icon_smile.gif

My tractor needed 8.69 and 8.52 seconds in both directions!!!
(I have a 1996 1Z Golf 3 Variant CL, without air conditioning)

Since I was able to measure all values (except real power and weight) beforehand (-3 degrees, 1010 mbar, 47 km/h at 2000 RPM (all with VAG COM)), the only remaining possibilities are errors in the power or weight measurements.

What does a G3 TDI Variant weigh when fully fueled?
Approximately 1550 kg ???? Then the 8.6 seconds at 66 kW are correct.

Does the "sluggishness" perhaps stem from the decreasing LMM values that occur at higher RPMs?

Maybe some other 1Z drivers have already driven their cars for up to 4000 km and can share their experiences icon_smile.gif

Hi,

Don't rely on the weight of a G3 Kombi 1Z.

I had written something about this in my 1Z time:

/viewtopic.php?t=224&start=7

The times I measured back then were somewhere between 8.2 and 8.5 (depending on the day's form).

Oops...

Then the times are really good, and I should probably start thinking about weight tuning sooner icon_smile.gif

e.g., could I get rid of my "workshop equipment" icon_smile.gif

Thank you, Bertil.

HI

I went to the TÜV today - they were also very nice, because there was a free weighing service.

The trailer was still 3/8 full, and I was sitting in it (73 kg).

Result: 1350 kg

During the test, there might have been 30-40 kg more weight in play, but I can't achieve the calculated 1550 kg.

SHAME, then he's definitely too weak in the DZR!!!

Hello Martin,
the times are not so bad.
My time is approximately 8.3 seconds.
The LMM values, however, appear to be somewhat unusual.
In my measurements, the two curves essentially run parallel.
parallel (maximum 2% deviation - rounding error?!).
Have you disabled the AGR?

Best regards, Rudi

Although I have a 3-door car, it's not much different in the test. I needed around 8.3 seconds in the summer at approximately 23°C, and now in the winter I need around 7.9 seconds. With 10 cents, I can even make 6.3 in this weather.

@ x world

I want !! 2 seconds only due to weather and 10 cents ... I also need 10 cents !!! (so, just pretending to buy the amount?)

@ Rudi

Do you mean my LMM values?

They look funny in the act. On the engine, I haven't done anything, because I bought it 1.5 years ago and so far I've only installed an AFN cover with AFN diesel lines and ESP connectors.

I'm surprised by the high LM (elongation) at partial load, and the drop-off starting at 3000 (which, however, also occurred in the AHU that I measured recently!).

Do you have diagrams of yourself ???

Hello Martin,
I have the VAG-COM log file (approximately one hour long).
I'm going to come up with something really impactful and post it.

Best regards, Rudi

Yes, just through careful observation. While it may still be set too high.

Yep, here in the Forum under "Technical Articles" -> General and then "10Cent Tuning"

Okay, then!

The entire text is an excerpt from a 'normal' drive on the A2xx, not a special measurement run.
At 3000 rpm, my Golf (speedometer) reads approximately 135 – oh no; of course, only 120; more is impossible.
not allowed icon_rolleyes.gif
It seems there's a problem with the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system (the upper curve represents the actual value!) icon_twisted.gif
However, if the target value then actually reaches the actual value, the latter does not icon_exclaim.gif

I'm planning to conduct some tests and log the results.

Best regards, Rudi
