TÜV without Cat but with Diode

Hello everyone,

Just finished my HU and ASU. Had some concerns about my car and the various issues. Games.

Reminder: My cat had disassembled itself, and I had to verschandeln up the debris. I have never installed the new (eBay) cat.


My exam was successful. Only modification:

Chip´s raus - (Due to engine speed limit)

LDS – LMM Defect Simulator (Diode in the signal line of the LMM)
This means the engine will then run smoothly and quietly, and the rattling will stop.

Interesting was: The turbidity value improved with each pass.
Quote: 'That's how you can see the cat working when it gets warm.'

A turbidity value of 0.34 with a maximum of 2.5 is quite good considering the mileage.

Klar, dass die Truebungswerte immer besser wurden !!

Der Pruefer wurde ja immer mueder und hat immer langsamer aufs Gas getreten (tB wird immer langer - das ist die Beschleunigungszeit zwischen den beiden Drehzahlen)

Ausserdem erfasst das Protokoll nicht die "Art" des Gasgebens, ein netter Pruefer hat meinen alten Golf 2 Saugdiesel ueber die AU gehievt, indem er erstmal auf 2000 gedreht hat und dann erst voll durchgetreten hat. Ergebnis: 1. Test (ohne trick) 2,5, danach (relevant fuer Plakette): 1,2 - 1,5

Die Diesel AU ist ein totaler Witz und quaelt nur den Motor !!!

Ich habe in meinem A4 Bj96 (ürsprünglich 81PS) einen ***-Chip.
Muss ich den zur AU raus nehmen, weil die Drehzahl dann zu hoch wird?

I don't know if the RPM will get too high. But if you've already stood next to your car while the mechanic was aggressively pressing the gas pedal and your engine was revving loudly at idle, then you know that every extra rotation can't be good.

Therefore, the chip was released.

And for completeness: CHIP is the E-PROM in the control unit (MSG) and not a box or anything like that. A box does not increase the speed at which payments are processed.

This is just another load of nonsense . The emissions values are improving because the deposits in the exhaust system are being cleared out over time. The type of gas being given (which Martin has already mentioned) is, of course, also important.

Therefore, one should occasionally "let a diesel engine run" on the way to ASU .
