AKE to EU3 Conversion for A6

Hello!

I have an A6 Avant Quattro with an AKE engine. The vehicle is certified according to EU 2 standards (manufactured in April 2000).

However, it appears that the same vehicle is now also available as an EU 3 model.

Has anyone ever had something like this converted or re-engineered?

I've at least done some research on the parts needed: fuel injectors and the control unit. Everything else seems to be the same.

The ASV, with the same 81 kW engine, already has a pneumatically controlled throttle/shut-off valve in combination with the EGR system, making it EU3 compliant!
That means a new control unit, control pneumatics, and of course, the exhaust emission test reports!
I don't remember the exact details, but no other fuel injectors were needed!
In my opinion, it doesn't seem to be proportional to the tax savings.

I would rather wait and hope that the retrofit particulate filters will soon offer tax benefits.
The filter costs approximately 500 euros.
