Speed Limiter: Installation & Benefits

Hi everyone!

Since I now have a speedometer with Multifunction Display (MFA) and need to replace the speedometer cable with a speed sensor attached to the transmission, I'm contacting you.

The connectors on the sensor are marked with +/A/-, but I have no idea where each one goes... unfortunately .

Can someone help me, because the car should be finished by tonight...

It's a VW Passat, manufactured in 1991, with a 2E engine.

How about taking a look at a circuit diagram and checking it out?

In my opinion, it's quite straightforward! What could possibly be positive or negative? And then, there probably won't be much left for 'a' either!

+ = Terminal 15 (ignition power).
- = Terminal 31 (Ground/Negative)
A = The v-signal to the combination instrument.
(I'm not sure about 'der Klemmenbezeichnung A' - but what else could it be?)

I now have a digital speedometer with MFA (Multi-Function Display).
