Audi A6: 99 AFB Engine Stalling - Troubleshooting

'As I was driving on the country road at approximately 80 km/h and tried to accelerate, nothing happened. Since then, the engine hasn't shown any signs of life. I read the error memory, but there are no error codes! I checked relay 109, and the diesel supply is working correctly. When I disconnect an injector line and crank the engine, diesel flows out in two bursts per revolution (without pressure, I can hold it back with my finger). Who can help me? I'm at a loss.'

Did you also read the error memory from the pump control unit, not just the one from the engine control unit?

I have a diagnostic device from VFL! It should be able to recognize and read out all control units. However, I can't select the pump control unit individually. Does it even have its own fault memory?

Unfortunately, I don't have a V6 TDI parked outside my door.

It sounds like the VP has resigned.
If the piston seizes, the engine will simply stop running and won't start again. It's practically like turning off the fuel valve .

You can re-check everything from the timing to the throttle potentiometer, but it won't make a difference because diesel is already reaching the injectors.
Unfortunately, there is not enough to open them.
