Hello everyone. I have been browsing through all the posts here daily for quite some time now, and I have also found many interesting and helpful things.
Unfortunately, even someone with a basic interest in technology can be discouraged from asking questions or engaging in discussions by more experienced or 'professional' individuals. I find it really annoying how some people sometimes react to questions from people seeking help, or even make them feel bad, because they didn't enter the correct information into the search.
I can understand why many people are getting upset, as the same questions are being asked repeatedly without providing the engine number or other relevant information. However, as someone who is unfamiliar with the process, it is not always clear what information is important and what is not. Now, one could argue that those who don't understand should stay out, but then the sentence 'everyone can participate and contribute!' wouldn't really make sense.
Furthermore, I believe that professionals can benefit from the large number of amateurs, as they offer a vast amount of case examples that are simply not possible to experience in such a large quantity.
Furthermore, I have noticed that in many questions, there is a tendency to 'beat around the bush,' as many people do not actually address the main question or topic, but instead, simply share what they believe to be their most relevant knowledge. Here, the variant 'Duell der Schlaumaier' is still the funniest.
I would definitely find it great if everyone could really participate and contribute here, even if that means discussing somewhat trivial topics.
Or, one could set up separate areas for beginners and professionals, but that would probably be a shame.
Certainly, this forum is a valuable resource in a time when it's no longer easy to get advice for free.
What I've learned here: It's better to test thoroughly once than to guess incorrectly 10 times!
