Hello,

It's almost embarrassing for me to ask this question, but I'm afraid that something might be broken icon_sad.gif.

Today, my car (GOLF 3, AFN) fell off the jack and slammed directly onto the front left brake disc icon_redface.gif (the other 3 wheels were still mounted).

Once I recovered from the shock and reattached the wheel, I couldn't find any other defects, except for the bent metal piece on the brake disc.

Could something else have broken, or are there any areas I should check more carefully?

Best regards and thank you in advance...
DJ.

The glass pane may have been hit.
You probably won't be able to notice it visually, but you'll definitely feel the difference next time you brake.
I don't know if there are still any businesses that can check windshields for imbalance.

I would suggest removing the disc and checking it.

not that they'll break or anything like that...

Otherwise, you can find underdeck supports from *any DIY store brand* for very cheap, and they are HIGHLY recommended!

Hi,

I know - usually I always put supports underneath, but this time I didn't, and then something like this happens icon_cry.gif.

How about the toe-in and camber?

Regards,
DJ.

On what kind of surface did it crash? When it crashes, it sounds like it's landing on a soft surface.

For example, if he had fallen on grass, I wouldn't even bother to inspect the brake disc.

It happened in the garage, so it's on stone.
I can clearly identify two distinct marks: one in the center and another from the brake disc itself.
I think the brake disc didn't actually touch the ground.

Regards,
DJ.
