'I'm experiencing the following problem with my A6, specifically with the 98 AFB engine, when it's warm:'

Between 3000-4000 RPM, there are brief hesitations, and sometimes no power is delivered after shifting. The problem is more pronounced at higher ambient temperatures. Sometimes, the maximum speed is not reached, and sometimes the engine feels sluggish in the 3000-4000 RPM range.

Error code read from Audi: 00575 011 - Intake manifold pressure below regulation limit.
'According to Audi, the problem is either a faulty turbocharger or a faulty wastegate valve. I'm now supposed to wait until the next failure occurs so that I can file a claim with the used car warranty for the replacement of the turbocharger.'
Is there a way to narrow down the error?
'The lmm (mass airflow sensor) and agr (air-gas ratio) have been tested by Audi and are in good working order. The hoses and other components are also fine.'

'Received a call from the Audi workshop today - the turbo is defective and will be replaced soon...'
Okay, let's see icon_wink.gif.

What I've noticed lately is that quite a few turbocharger failures have been diagnosed by workshops.

I have some serious doubts about the diagnoses. If the diagnoses were all correct, why are there so many chargers at Egedöns!?

@joee:
Looking at your signature (Chip), I have some concerns about whether the used car insurance company should be informed. Also, with such old vehicles, they usually only cover a fraction of the parts costs, and often not even the labor costs. If you have over 100,000 km on the odometer, they might not pay out at all.

Furthermore, the chip could also be the cause of a 575 error if it's not installed correctly.

I hope everything works out to your satisfaction, but I wouldn't pay for the turbo replacement, as I, like Jörg, doubt the diagnosis.

Regards,
Guste.

Mileage: 90,000 km. Purchased 8 weeks ago from Audi Zentrum. Initial report of power loss made by me in the first week after purchase. Chip from Becker and Bender, with warranty.
'In that regard, I don't see any problems, as the chip tuning was done by an Audi service center.'

icon_razz.gif offer from a friendly person for an exchange turbo, my contribution max €250,-, workshop subsidy €1500,-, but the friendly people are under the warranty for defects !!!! and therefore they have to cover everything. In the first six months after purchase, the burden of proof is reversed, meaning Audi has to prove that the defect did not exist at the time of purchase. First complaint 5 days after taking over the vehicle.
Let's see what happens next.

icon_lol.gif It's really powerful - it works perfectly, it revs up to 5300 RPM with pressure - I'm very satisfied icon_lol.gif.
