We had our usual 'fix-it' gathering this weekend, and I also adjusted the idle speed. That's great, but the values are being shifted globally. I don't really like that, because my engine speed is much higher when the engine is cold than when it's warm.
When the engine is warm, I now have approximately 880 revolutions per minute, and when it's cold, it's slightly below 1,000 revolutions per minute. How can I adjust this ratio so that I get the same RPM when the engine is cold as when it's warm? This has always been noticeable to me, and now the effect is really becoming apparent.
Furthermore, the speed is approximately 900 revolutions per minute when I am rolling unloaded. Once I come to a stop, it drops to the normal 880 revolutions per minute. How can this be stopped?
