Clunking noises from the steering column area

Cause:
Increased play in the lower bearing of the steering mechanism.

Solution:
Loosen the screw at the lower bearing by a few turns, so that the bearing can move within the fixing block of the chassis mounting.
Do not completely loosen or remove the screw and nut.
Manually push the bearing forward in the direction of travel (without excessive force).
In this loosened state, tighten the screw with the specified torque.
