Alhambra High Fuel Consumption: 85kW/AUY Engine

Hi.

Can anyone tell me something about the average fuel consumption of an Alhambra, first registration: 03/2003, engine code: AUY, 85 kW? My colleague's Alhambra consumes an average of ~9 - 9.5 liters; regardless of driving style (probably even if it were pushed).
'The SEAT technicians say that's 'normal.' So far, only the auxiliary heaters have been replaced. There is no smoke or soot. The current mileage is 53,000 km. A service inspection is due. The error memory is clear; fuel injection timing is okay.'
