VW 1Z Engine Replacement | Exchange Motor

I'm having a problem with my TDI engine (Passat 35i). The timing belt is broken, and the mechanic told me that a repair is no longer worthwhile (it has 300,000 km on the clock). I have the option of getting a replacement engine. According to the seller, it has the designation 'F198'. Since I'm not familiar with this engine code, I suspect it's a general designation for rebuilt engines. It's supposed to be installed in a Golf 3. Can anyone tell me if it will fit in my car (year of manufacture 1994), and if I can use the components from my current engine on it (injectors, fuel pump, etc.)? Please help me.

Okay, that's definitely not an MKB (engine code), but rather a number that refers to engine parts. You should be able to fit a 1Z engine from a Golf 3 in there somehow, but make sure you find out exactly what they're trying to sell you, because the MKB is the most important thing!
