Hello,
I recently bought a 2001 Passat TDI with an automatic transmission. I'm relatively happy with the performance at low speeds, but I'm not used to driving an automatic.
However, I'm concerned about the top speed of 190-195 km/h; it can't be that simple! It's already registered with a top speed of 203 km/h. The mass airflow sensor has already been replaced, and no error codes are being displayed.
Has anyone had a similar issue before, or perhaps even encountered this exact error?
Best regards,
Volker
'A defect in the mass airflow sensor is not displayed when reading the error memory, so my VW dealer gave me a new one to try.'
Here, I expressed myself poorly; I naturally returned this item after no changes occurred.
The air mass sensor (in operation) and the turbocharger control system were also checked and measured today, and they show no faulty readings!
Unfortunately, my VW dealer seems to have run out of ideas as well.
