hello everyone,
I would like to install a weasel repellent device in my vehicle.
The instructions state that some vehicles may have existing reservations.
which indicates a positive value when ignition is on and a negative value when ignition is off.
i.e., that the anti-theft device would only be active when the vehicle is stationary.
(which is sufficient).

My, perhaps somewhat silly question is...
Where and how can I do this on my VW Golf 4, manufactured in June 2002, with a TDI-PD engine?
Connect to achieve this effect!

'Thank you for your help.'

Hi 'wetec'!

I once installed something similar in a Golf 3 for a friend, but it required +12V even when the ignition was off.
Are you sure about the 'minus/ground' connection when the ignition is off?
Back then, I tapped into a wire from the light switch (I think it was 12V for the parking lights) – in any case, you should be able to find what you're looking for at the light switch.
Connect the measuring device and take measurements (with the ignition on and off), and you should be able to find the required voltage.

Regards,

Andreas.

Hi!!!
In the four-pin connector for the car radio on an Iso connection, there is a pin that only provides 12V when the ignition is turned on.
I suggest you disconnect the radio and use a multimeter to check the ISO connector.
