Hello,
Can I display the start of the injection on my AKN (likely referring to an engine control unit) using a TDI graph? The AKN cannot be selected in the MKB selection.
What comparable MKB (German classification system for occupations) codes can I use?
Thank you very much.
René. |

Hi,
The TDI timing tool is only for engines with a distributor injection pump.
Do you have a repair manual for the AKN?

Hello Rainer,
I have a VP 44 and a repair manual. The injection start time, measured in the baseline program, is 2 or 14 degrees (duty cycle 23/100) - which is within acceptable limits.
The reason for my inspection is a louder-than-normal noise from the engine and a lack of power when the engine is cold.
Best regards,
René. |

Okay, I find that the V6 TDI engines are always very noisy, especially when they're cold.
And if the operating temperature hasn't been reached yet, they don't perform as well either.
It's generally not good to rev a cold engine. B.Eng (FH) u. KFZ Meister

To the best of my knowledge, you can't do that with the graph. I have an AFB (presumably referring to a specific document or system), and I found the answer in the manual. I don't quite remember the exact procedure, but I believe it should be read using the data blocks, not the TDI graph. A4 Avant 2,5 tdi 110kw; AFB; BJ2000
