My best experience regarding durability was with Hoppecke.
My original VW battery also came from Hoppecke. They are now part of Johnson Controls, and since then, I haven't been able to find any more of those batteries in stores.

When my old one suddenly completely broke down, I had to act quickly and didn't have a choice; I bought a Bosch Silver. It was very bad and didn't last long at all (when it got really cold, the VW diagnostic tool indicated "replace immediately").

I then showed this to the dealer, and I got my money back. Now I have a Moll M3+ and I am very satisfied.

(Maybe I just received a defective single item from Bosch).

To the best of my knowledge, the "NOT FILLED" one is not allowed to come to you.
Because the acid could cause all sorts of damage along the way.
Then you'll need to buy some acid, and go to the store...

Thank you for the quick response. I inquired with the store, and they said the battery will be charged and filled with acid before being shipped! I'm concerned that the transport might not be good for the battery.
Where else can I find a cheap, branded battery?

What do you think of the Arktis batteries from ATU? They have one with 71Ah and 680A of cold-cranking current for 86 euros.

What is the actual difference between "high-tech" Arctic and regular Arctic?

I used up my Aktis data allowance in the G2 plan in less than 24 months - I won't be using that plan again.

I don't like to repeat myself, but the original VW pump lasted for 11 years in the TDI engine!

According to the tests, they shouldn't be that bad. I've had one in my Audi since I bought it, so the battery is at least 4 years old, probably even older.

As far as I know, ATU purchases products from various manufacturers, including Bosch and Banner, and puts their own label on them. However, they also sometimes buy up old stock and second- or third-quality items. That's why it's possible to get a good product or a piece of junk.

Okay,

Removed the 47/95 battery, installed the 28/06 battery, wrapped it nicely in a cloth diaper - it works again.

I will contact you again in 2016, when I need the next VW battery
