I love this forum!
It consists of the three 'L's - Reading, Logging, Learning
The following symptoms are relevant with regard to sudden clicking sounds and log file analysis.
Possibly. Cat fracture due to rough engine lifting.
Check will follow soon.
Symptoms: Reduced performance, primarily in the upper RPM range, despite a functioning and correctly calibrated MAF sensor, sometimes delayed boost pressure build-up in the lower RPM range.
Increased consumption possible, usually no increased soot emissions.
When reading air mass values at full load, there may be an apparently inexplicable drop in the upper RPM range.
Clunking noises (resonances) from the Richttung exhaust system are possible.
The problem tends to arise suddenly.
Common Causes: Reduced exhaust cross-section due to fragments from a broken catalyst or obstruction.
Exams: Knock test (tapping?) on the exhaust in the area of the catalytic converter.
Troubleshooting by: Replacing faulty exhaust parts.
