I think this is an issue that isn't specific to the VAG group in this case.
We used to have a 200D 'Wanderdüne' from 1986.
This engine could also be certified for use – although only to the Euro 1 standard.
Nevertheless, we had to take care of it ourselves with Daimler.
One would think that something like this should be part of the service, especially for a brand like this.

Does anyone have any more recent information? Surely someone has a 1Z engine with Euro 2 emissions standards.

I also want to convert my 1994 vehicle and have only found information about using oxygen sensors so far.

If it were possible to do this with a certificate or confirmation, that would be great.

Does anyone have one of those "re-keying certificates" and would be willing to post it online?

If I understand correctly, the "14" (the last two digits of the first key number) will become a "25" or "26", and you will then receive the red sticker, right?

Hi everyone,
In 1997, Audi issued a manufacturer's certificate for all Audi 80 B4 models from the 1994 model year onwards, which allows them to be classified as Euro 2 compliant. This also entitles the vehicle to receive a red sticker.
For example, key 21 was used for my 26th birthday. This should also apply to key 14.
