It seems like Ravenol might also be planning to offer an oil specifically for older 3-4 cylinder common rail engines without a DPF, but with an aftermarket DPF installed.
Revenol is likely compatible with vehicles that have a fuel system starting from model 507.00, but not with those that have a fuel system model 505.01.
Ravenol LL3 now also has several exceptions.
Okay, marketing people are still making typos.
RAVENOL WIV LONGLIFE III 5W-30 can also be used in engines with the following specifications:
VW 500 00 / 502 00 / 505 00 / 503 01
VW 503 00 / 506 00 +
501 01

/ 506 01 (see exceptions)
Attention: Exceptions apply.
Applicable in all VW engines except: 3- and 4-cylinder pump-injector engines
