T5 has the engine code 03G906051A, it's the original engine, manufactured in 09/2007, with 77,000 km (approximately 47,000 miles) on the clock.

Based on my gut feeling, the 03G..A model likely came with MJ08.

In a dealership's service department, this type of replacement typically involves updating the engine control unit (ECU) software.

tlw After the update, a different differential pressure sensor (with or without A) will be required, as the signal appears to be inverted.

I performed a sensor replacement (I'm not 100% sure if I had the non-A version) and received an update from 1184 to 1881. The BMR code is 03G 906 016 EM.

It would be interesting to find a VOR-1881-BMR model that does not have the "non-A" designation.

Alternatively, I could check the BMP (Base Map Product), which is guaranteed to have never received an update (since 11/2006).

I am not aware of any mandatory pairing or requirement for an update related to the G450 replacement.
While both were sometimes done as part of a campaign.

MJ 06 BMP (100,000 km, sensor from KW40/06) and 10 BMP (38,000 km) have the 03G..A part number.
