verschandeln it thoroughly first, unless it's already leaking, in which case you should follow the advice of the previous speaker.

The engine has been cleaned; I'll drive it for a week and then see how it goes.

What is the likelihood that the leak will affect performance? Perhaps the tandem pump isn't providing enough pressure after all?

Due to the high pressure and flow rate, there is little influence.

What I've just noticed while reading through the thread is that I forgot to mention that my MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) shows about 20% more consumption than the actual value.
I was able to reduce it by 15% using VCDS through adaptation.

Okay, please provide the German text you want me to translate into English. I will only give you the translation.

Have you also checked whether the fuel temperature measured by the control unit is plausible?

Can I check it on Saturday morning, when the engine has cooled down? icon_mrgreen.gif

However, yesterday, when the system was running, the temperature reached 76°C.

VCDS indicates a target value of "approximately ambient temperature," which likely refers to the temperature when the engine is cold.

Aber im Betriebswarmen Zustand waren es gestern 76°C.

"That's unfortunate, but it seems plausible. If the temperature had been -10°C, that would explain a lot, as the density of cold fuel is significantly higher. The engine control unit adjusts the fuel injection volume based on fuel density by measuring the fuel temperature."

It would have been too easy if the error had been found now icon_wink.gif.

Yesterday, I happened to have a Touran with the BMM engine in my possession for coding purposes.
I took the opportunity to check the throttle valve angle (MWB 4) at idle, and it's at -2.5 degrees, just like mine.
The driver said that it's running and pulling normally (It could be anything now, unfortunately I couldn't do a test drive icon_sad.gif).

At the same time, the camshaft is inspected, as well as the blind plugs of the rocker arm shafts.

Ich berichte dann, kann wieder etwas dauern.

Have you checked that in the meantime?
