Ah yes, I also measured the adjustment range, VTG. Approximately 1cm is fine.

reconditioned battery

Unfortunately, I must inform you that there are many dishonest individuals in this business whom I would not even allow to change the tires on my bicycle.

Personally, I would never buy and install such a charger, as the price difference compared to a new charger from the free parts market does not justify the days of tinkering and troubleshooting.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same for you.

For a short test drive, you can remove the DPF at the turbocharger, possibly add another sheet of metal around it as a heat shield (to prevent anything from burning due to the hot exhaust gases), and then you should be able to tell if everything is working properly after about 200 meters.

I'll take a look and see what can be done.

Thank you very much.

Just like Dieselschrauber, I would also not install a "used" or unknown used charger - I would prefer to install a new, plug-and-play charger and have peace of mind for a long time. icon_wink.gif
It's possible that the overhauled charger has a VTG hot clamp, or that the VTG adjustment is incorrect.

Sorry, that it took so long. icon_confused.gif
I have now removed the charger and was able to immediately identify the problem.
Unfortunately, I couldn't determine this while in operation icon_cry.gif
I also immediately removed and sent the soot filter for regeneration (price approx. 375€ at FA Barten).
I have also sent the charger back to the manufacturer under warranty.
Within a week, a new charger and the regenerated filter, along with the corresponding protocol, were shipped.
Installed everything yesterday, and then, using VCDS, set the ash value to 5 grams from 83 grams, and re-programmed the new differential pressure sensor.

Test drive revealed... Vehicle is running icon_cool.gif

I will conduct another LOG trip soon for comparison purposes.

Best regards

Post21-08-2014, 23:33    Subject: Replace differential pressure sensor after regeneration Quote

Can someone explain exactly why the differential pressure sensor needs to be replaced or regenerated after replacing or regenerating the particulate filter?

Why doesn't it suffice to simply delete the adaptation values in the control unit?
I'm kind of lost icon_question.gif

Best regards...

He doesn't have to.

Also, after a DPF replacement/cleaning, you don't need to...

If the differential pressure sensor is faulty, it should be replaced, and its calibration values should be reset. icon_idea.gif

Super, vielen Dank. icon_idea.gif

I also don't have a plausible explanation for that.

But I should still set the learning values to zero when swapping/regenerating?

The learning values of the differential pressure sensor should only be reset when it is replaced:

Maybe you'll get confused with the ash mass here. When the DPF is cleaned or replaced, the engine control unit (ECU) needs to know that it is now "empty" again.
This also works through adaptation, but via a different channel:

No, no, I set the ash mass to 5G via the long adaptation channel 12, and I also proactively adjusted the differential pressure sensor, and I adjusted it via the Codierug-II 30605.
I couldn't quite understand why the differential pressure sensor needed to be replaced.
But as it seems, the sensor had been unnecessary.

Regards, Robert.
