Okay, I didn't know that. If the DPF has any additional problems, wouldn't the warning light come on? Or am I mistaken?

According to my understanding, it referred to the fact that there was visible exhaust coming from the vehicle. This exhaust should, ideally, be largely retained by a functioning DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter). In your specific case, this would likely have resulted in a significant buildup of soot in the DPF.

And yes, if it's a closed system, it monitors the differential pressure, and depending on the condition, you will be notified.

Okay, here's a general question for everyone: The EGR valve has been replaced, and the engine is running again. Now, I want to read the DPF loading status from measuring block 75, but unfortunately, no measuring blocks appear for me in blocks 70-75. Could it be that the DPF is disconnected, or am I driving in the wrong zones?

01 - Motor electronics -> 08 - Measurement data blocks -> Measurement data block 75.

It's not just that no value appears; in my case, the "Motor Vehicle Base" (MWB) isn't recognized. The engine is a 2.0 TDI BRE from 2006, installed in an Audi A4 Avant. Best regards.

Am I mistaken, or is a DPF not necessarily installed in all BRE vehicles, but rather only retrofitted?

That would then also explain the Russian declension described in the error message... icon_wink.gif

The BRE (Diesel Particulate Filter) was not standard equipment initially, but it was only introduced from mid-2007 onwards. There wasn't one installed before.

So, he's definitely not removed, because it's still stuck inside. According to the previous owner, the DPF has also been replaced, and Audi confirmed this, as it was done there.

Is that a retrofit DPF?

It's been a while, and I've already sold the car, but I still wanted to let you know about the issue. The EGR valve was the cause. The weld on the flap on the shaft had broken, so while the EGR valve was being activated, it no longer functioned. I replaced the EGR valve, cleared the learned values, and after that, the engine ran smoothly again, with no more signs of soot. Thank you very much to everyone for the help.

Best regards, Chris.
