Pin removed from MSTG and connected to the OBD connector, so only one cable is present from the K-line.

And yet, no communication?!
What voltage do you have on the K-line? Should (measured at the neutral point) be approximately the mains voltage.

Voltage (Ignition ON) on MSTG K-line to ground (Battery) 6.6V, also on the positive side as well.
Turn off ignition, 0V to ground, 12V to positive.

Voltage buildup at the potential divider towards ground 11.8V, to positive 0.89V ignition on.
Turn off ignition, to ground 10.8V and to positive 2.8V

K-line from MSTG is still stuck.

Unfortunately, I had opened the engine control unit 30 minutes before Rainer's response. It is dry and there are no visible damage or cold solder joints.

I just measured a bare MSA15 and it gives the following result on
Pin 61 also only 8.2V.

12,xV, I only get this reading with a properly connected diagnostic cable. When I disconnect it, it drops back to 6.6V.

I tried the control unit in another bus, but it didn't work.
I've sent it off for the exam today and hopefully for a successful repair.

The control unit arrived today again.
I've quickly installed it as a temporary fix, and lo and behold, it's working again.
According to the information, the control unit had been activated and then had malfunctioned, resulting in a large number of errors, including a quantity control unit, etc.
