Okay, so I disassembled the compressor today. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything that indicated the shaft was broken or anything like that.

Perhaps it would have been enough to simply tighten the middle screw again. Well, but that wouldn't have been a good solution either.

If you are interested in the pictures, I would be happy to send them all to you via email.

Best regards, Basti.

Tightening the screw wouldn't have helped because the driving element is located on the toothed section. Have you seen any shavings in the system?

So, there were no shavings in the system. However, I still flushed it. But even when opening the compressor, I didn't see any shavings.

It's strange because nothing appears damaged in the pictures. Perhaps it was the control valve.

As I said: The middle screw had come loose. It also exhibits the exact defect described in the Elsa documentation.
May I post this image?

"Edit:"
To put it in my own words: By loosening the central screw, the multi-tooth coupling between the clutch hub and the compressor shaft is damaged. This results in a loss of power transmission.
Modified compressors were then used. icon_smile.gif

From "Deine Mittelschraube," yes; excerpts from ELSA, no.

It might be. I've been reading a lot of incorrect information in official Volkswagen documentation lately, so I'm being very cautious.

Anyway, the main thing is that the air conditioning cools down, and hopefully it will do so for a long time without any further defects.
Viele Grüße
