I would really like to search for it and, if necessary, create a troubleshooting plan for the Common Rail system.

Has anyone else got any ideas about how I could track down the error? The sudden drop in rail pressure when the engine fails to start, and the fact that the engine and rail pressure are normal *after* the engine has finally started, are very clear facts that could be used to narrow down the cause of the problem...

And since "new" injectors can also cause damage, it is also helpful to use an endoscope to check the combustion chamber and see if the injectors are wet, which can then cause dripping and a loss of pressure.

However, one cannot achieve much with home remedies.

You need to start the investigation from scratch again, and not exclude any potential source of error.
