But PEKA was actually a long-standing supplier of tow ball assemblies for VW (and OPEL) until the bankruptcy. And now, we begin the lighthearted guessing game about why this company went bankrupt: Problems with the ball joints of the detachable tow hitches, which had too much play... icon_exclaim.gif

Small update:

After 1500km with the automatic Westfalia tow hitch and the caravan at the rear, there is still no noticeable play in the coupling head. So, it seems like this part is definitely better (knocking on wood).

250km long, the AKS2004 rattled on the clutch lever, but now it's quiet.
