Hi,

Theoretically yes, but the "dummy mode" must be activated on the diagnostic cable, and then the appropriate driver must be installed (see technical article).
Tested with current software/firmware: no.

"Edit: I just noticed that the link was to a kit, and I thought it was about the professional system. The kit should work as is, but it's now considered one of our 'historical products' (meaning the hardware is no longer available)."
The cable needs to be connected to the pin that is linked to pin 7 of the OBD2 side when using the 2x2 configuration.

Is this compatible with the current version and firmware?
Webasto tool, works perfectly with a small adapter cable.
After switching to the 'Start' option in the settings.
Tested on a TT-P and what I believe is a BW 50 (or possibly a G3).

I would like to try connecting the yellow Webasto diagnostic cable to the connector on the control unit side.

Okay, I'll try connecting pin 15 this weekend, if my schedule allows, and of course, I'll install the software and dummy beforehand! I'm curious to see if it works.

I connected a yellow STH diagnostic cable to pin 15 of the FZ diagnostic connector for testing; this pin was previously unconnected. It works perfectly with the Webasto WTT2002, version 2.09!

If you want to use the VCDS software frequently, don't forget to reinstall the USB driver!

I need the USB dummy driver to run the Weba software, but I can't find it.

Unfortunately, I can't remember where I got it from before.

I also need to revisit that older topic again.

I have an original VCDS cable with an RS232 connector, and I'm currently building an OBD adapter to read data from my Thermo TOP C auxiliary heater.

I only connected these 3 cables: +12V, ground, and the L-line to the yellow diagnostic cable. Does my connection look correct so far? Or should the yellow diagnostic cable be connected to pin 7 of the K-line?

OBD.

Pin 4 = Ground.
Pin 15 = L-Line => PIN2 (yellow diagnostic cable of the ThermoTop C).
Pin 16 = +12V

I tried it out today. I couldn't establish a connection with either the L-Line or the K-Line.

I have a serial VCDS cable. The Intel boot mode is disabled!

I have the Webasto test software version 2.12 installed, and I've configured the COM port. I tried selecting "Thermo Top C" directly once, and also running the entire process once. However, I was unable to establish a connection.

The auxiliary heater was also on. To activate it, I bypassed the black and red wires (which normally connect to the timer).

Because I don't have a timer yet.

Do you have any other suggestions for what I could do?

Is the LED on the diagnostic system green? Please check the K-line and L-line using the "Test" function in the VCDS program settings.

The LED on the diagnostic connector does not light up when using the VCDS cable.

If I use a cheap OBD cable from eBay (serial), the LED on the eBay connector lights up. Unfortunately, this doesn't happen with the VCDS connector.

I also downloaded the tool called "Test-OK-Adapter," and it indicates that I am connected to COM3.

Where can I check the K-line or L-line in VCDS? Or are you referring to testing the port?

It is connected with 12V, and I also use my custom interface to read data from the AI at my desk.

Okay, so the green light isn't illuminated on the VCDS connector, but the VCDS port check says "Connection status OK."

I'm using an external 230V to 12V adapter, but it probably shouldn't be the issue.
