Hello,

Volkswagen Golf IV GTI PD, 08/1999.
MKB:AJM
Approximately 88,000 km.
Approximately 31,000 km, original 115 horsepower --> 285 Nm (torque).
with chip tuning, 140 HP --> 340 Nm.

Outages: Approximately every 7 months, the front light bulb fails!
- On the 3rd day (with approximately 350 km driven), the first gear was completely broken.
- After one year, I switched to a different type of gear oil, so now my car (even the one belonging to my daughter) can shift from 1st to 2nd gear even in cold weather. Shift gears!
-Since the chip tuning, the fuel consumption has been reduced by at least 0.5 liters.
- Typical creaking and rattling noises inside the vehicle!!!
- MFA suddenly appeared after about 9 months, like a strobe light in a disco!!! (instrument change)

Mileage: approximately 126,000 km to date.

- 1 def. LMM replaced + AGR disconnected.
- Replaced 3 defective window holders.
- Faulty switch for trunk/boot lighting.

Volkswagen Golf 3 Variant, 66 kW, 1Z engine, no modifications.
From kilometer reading 44,000 (upon acquisition), K&N oiled air filter and Calix engine pre-heater were installed (see website). Rainer - that's mine.

Total mileage, etc. Mileage: 150,000 km

New tensioner pulley (for the alternator) at 80,000 km and 120,000 km.
New timing belt installed at 100,000 km and 115,000 km.
At 115,000 km, there was an oil leak from the camshaft seal (which is why a new timing belt was installed).
At 115,000 km, the front cover and oil pan were sealed.
At 140,000 km, 4 new fuel injectors were replaced (due to misfires caused by a leaking injector).

No other engine problems, but the airbag reset ring in the steering wheel has been replaced 6 times already!!!

Audi 100 TDi, 2.5L AAT engine, Series 1, 115 horsepower.
Approximately 160,000 km with standard engine, then fitted with a Koch-Box upgrade (140 hp).
currently approximately 201,000 km.

Sure, just out of curiosity:

Volkswagen Golf II, manufactured in 1985.
Engine (MKB?) 1.6 D with 54 hp.
321,000 km (the first 150,000 km were long-distance driving).
Engine is in excellent condition, no oil consumption, no engine repairs needed so far (except for glow plugs), and it still has good power.
Top speed: 170 km/h with a 4-cylinder engine. Gearbox.

but the bodywork is more than just bad.

Can a TDI engine also handle that?

I have a Seat Cordoba GT, manufactured in September 1997.
Engine (AFN)
HOPA plugs installed 8,000 km ago.
81 kW --> 102 kW
160,000 km (approximately 1/2 on highways)

Engine in excellent condition, no oil consumption.
Timing belt replaced at 90,000 km.

So far, no problems, except for the valve cover gasket, which I now have to replace for the second time.

It runs perfectly and only consumes 5.5 - 6 liters.

Oil change every 15,000 km, K&N air filter.

130,000 km
90 horsepower TDI ALH engine in a Golf IV.

No significant issues other than a faulty mass airflow sensor at 70,000 km, and occasional air in the diesel hose, which is likely due to a faulty filter.

The KW-Systems box is here, but it won't be installed because my TDI is supposed to last a very, very long time (who can check the spray pattern of my injectors, and what does that cost?).

I voted for a 'familiar face' who drives an old Passat Variant taxi with a 90 horsepower TDI engine. It has over 700,000 kilometers on the clock, with about 400,000 of those kilometers achieved with a performance chip. I was quite surprised. But otherwise, the box is already falling apart . The main thing is that the engine runs...

Golf III 1Z, 90 HP: 110,000 km without a chip, and for the last 15,000 km with a chip tuned to 110 HP. Absolutely no problems since the modification. Hey, everything is still original except for the LLM and, of course, the timing belt/tensioner...

Engine AFN, 81 kW, with tuning ~108 kW (TuneLine).
Total KM: 93,000.
Tuned at 75,000 kilometers.

Removed the sports air filter, as it damaged the mass airflow sensor (MAF) and provided absolutely no benefit other than additional costs.

Golf 3 GTI TDI '20 Years' model, manufactured in October 1996.
Engine AFN, 81 kW.
Mileage: 130,000 km
Up to 128,000 km without modifications.
'With 'defective' EGR system, from 125,000 km.'
Available from 128,000 km with optional 10-cent performance upgrade.
I have owned it since 119000 km (November 2001), and so far, I have only experienced the usual problems with the VTG .

Volkswagen Golf II TD AAZ 55kW.

60,000 new cylinder heads and burner nozzles.
130,000 units of LLK from KW-Systems, adjustment of the flow rate.
Boost pressure increased to 0.9 bar. 77 kW.
130.150 Charger damage.
I now have 131,000 [points/miles/etc.], and I don't see any further damage/losses coming up...

1.4 TDI PD (AMF), 70,000 km, 75 hp, with *** chip tuned to 98 hp.
20,000 km without modifications, 50,000 km with modifications.
AGR is shut down.

EDIT: Sold the car with 102,000 miles, bought a new, identical car with 40,000 miles, same chip, now at 150,000 miles with no problems.

Seat Cordoba Vario, 1.9 TDI / Engine code ASV / First registration 02/00.
65,000 km, of which 11,000 km were driven with a Powerbox Speedbuster 2.
Initially, the device was set too high, triggering a failsafe mode.
After reinstalling the software, the device is running smoothly.
Consumption: 5.5 - 6 liters.
