Hello!
I drive an Audi A4, model year 1996, with the AFN engine.
I recently bought a speed limiter, and now I just need to install it.
I'll probably have that done at the workshop, but I'd like to connect the wiring myself. Do you have a wiring diagram that's compatible with my vehicle?
Perhaps one of the people listed here is a good fit?
I'd rather double-check just to be on the safe side.
Four wires (black, white, red, and blue) come from the GRA (part number: 8D0953513).
According to a friend, the engine control unit is already unlocked.
Do I need to run any additional wires to the control unit, or are those wires already connected to the steering wheel?
If so, what are they? Color, or where can they be found?
At a large auction house, this GRA is often offered with a cable rod.
That's why I have the feeling that I might need to add something there!
Thank you in advance, and have a good start to the new year!
Carsten.

Hello everyone,
After spending several months overcoming my frustration, I made another attempt and finally found the root cause of the problem.
Just like with Kombiblue, the GRA switch is malfunctioning in my unit. The slide switch for speed + (pin 2 of the GRA switch) doesn't reliably open when released; instead, it flickers and sometimes remains partially conductive (at least that's what it looks like on the digital ohmmeter). This causes the GRA to sometimes work, but other times an error is logged, which deactivates the GRA.
With the open Pin2, it works perfectly except for the missing 'Speed +' function.
But that's just how it is with eba*-stuff. It's all junk, even if it's packaged like new merchandise.
Regards,
Thomas.
