I also have to add my two cents to this discussion.
Ich habe bei meinem ALH wegen des Anschaffungswiderstandes vom VW LMM die DC Variante auf Verdacht probiert und es geht seit 2 Monaten sehr gut. Bis ca. 1700U/min bringt er er zwar nicht die erforderlichen Werte aber wenn man vorher einen kaputten LMM hatte fühlt man sich trotzdem wie im 7. Himmel. Etwas Ausgleich brachte ein verirrtes Blech in der AGR. Seit 2 Tagen kann ich auch mir mit VAGCOM das ganze auch gut anschauen. Perhaps I will also drill a hole (as mentioned before) in the mass airflow sensor to achieve slightly higher values.

It should be relatively easy to 'replace' a faulty mass airflow sensor using a simple adder circuit built with an operational amplifier.

The values of a properly functioning LMM (Ladedruckmesser) are known; in principle, one could simply increase these values using an adder circuit. All that needs to be done is to increase the voltage supplied by the defective LMM.

If the adder is made adjustable, it offers the additional advantage that the output signal can be further adjusted, allowing the mass flow meter to be used 'to its absolute limit' before it actually needs to be replaced.

I only know the characteristic curves of a new and a defective mass airflow sensor, but that might be something we can figure out. If necessary, we'll have to modify the circuit a bit so that the values can be adjusted.

Hi.

This adaptation is (at least with AFN) primarily intended to adjust the EGR rate.
If the mass airflow sensor (MAF) is dirty and reports an insufficient amount of air, the EGR rate will also be reduced accordingly (see the MAF technical article).
The adaptation process allows for setting a lower target LMM value to compensate for the EGR control error.

"High emissions are a concern, but as far as I know, there's no adaptation to compensate for the power loss caused by the mass airflow sensor (MAF)."

Hello,

Two days ago, I installed a mass airflow sensor (MAF) from DC (DC part number: A 611 094 00 4icon_cool.gif.
My car (a Seat Alhambra 1.9 TDI-PD with 115 horsepower, manufactured in 2001 and with 58,000 km mileage, equipped with a Bosch mass airflow sensor: F00C 2G2 056) had the usual performance issues.

Unfortunately, I don't have a suitable OBD2 interface for my laptop, so the replacement was done based on suspicion after I had ruled out other possibilities (such as the pressure sensor, linkage, etc.).

I can't check the values right now, but my subjective impression is extremely positive. In my opinion, the car now performs even better than before (before the loss of power icon_smile.gif). Definitely, it drives with approximately 190 km/h on the speedometer, which is about 10 km/h faster than after purchase (when it was a new car).

Since the EGR valve is apparently defective icon_wink.gif, the car already hesitates quite a bit when accelerating below 1500 RPM.
The engine is running smoothly again, pulling strongly across the entire RPM range – from 1500 to 4000 RPM – with an even stronger pull between 1850 and 2800 RPM, without any jerking or hesitation, just as it should.
The maximum speed is now easily reached again (previously it was only 145 km/h).

Conclusion: I can only recommend installing a mass airflow sensor (MAF) from DC. Especially since the price is only 1/4 of the Bosch part, and the DC one is also supposed to last longer. It also looks much cooler than the MAF from DC icon_smile.gif.
Den Stecker habe ich übrigens nur einfach draufgesteck ohne anzubohren o.ä. DHe holds it.

I installed the DC-LMM (part number: A 611 094 00 4icon_cool.gif this morning.
It worked without any problems; the connector basically fits perfectly. However, it doesn't have any recesses for the locking tabs on the side of the DC-LMM adapter.
I still need to drill those.
I then drove 20 kilometers without any problems.
My impression is that the top speed is exactly the same. Subjectively, there's a very slight decrease in acceleration at lower RPM compared to the brand new VAG (Bosch) mass airflow sensor that was previously installed.
'It doesn't bother me much, but a difference of 62 euros versus 250 euros is quite a significant argument. Besides, if the new VAG mass airflow sensor had degraded as quickly as the old one, then performance equality would have been achieved sooner or later anyway. My T4 only had 48,000 kilometers on it!'
My friendly VAG workshop is readily accepting the new VAG mass airflow sensor for return...

I'm going on vacation this Saturday, and I'll share my experiences then.
