Okay, I think you should try the original oil cooler.
Since you have a dual-loop cooling system, you can keep the water temperature quite low.
Since you don't plan on modifying the performance initially (or do you?), there shouldn't be any thermal issues either.

Why don't you try the starter motor from your 2.0D? Then you won't have to search for long.
