I have a question about the SBV (Standby Voltage) for 1Z. What voltage do you have at the N108 terminal? 1. Engine off, ignition on.
2. Idle connector plugged in.
3. Idle connector unplugged.

It depends on the potential difference between which points the voltage is measured.
Generally: A lower current through N108 before starting is beneficial, while a higher current is desirable during idle operation.

Disconnected idle connector? What is the purpose of this, as the control unit pulls the coil winding towards ground when activated, and the other end of the N108 coil is connected to +12V.

Hello.
I just wanted to compare the values with mine because something seems to be wrong. My readings are: 1) Engine off, ignition on: 7.56V to 8.33V 2) Idle connector plugged in: 3.6V 3) Idle connector unplugged: 5V. I measured the voltage directly at the N108.
Are you sure that one end of the N108 coil is connected to +12V (that would help me a lot)?

Hopefully, your multimeter is accurate enough to measure the PWM voltage at the connector of the N108 and doesn't just give you random numbers...
If you disconnect the connector from the N108 sensor while the engine is running, you will notice that the engine "knocks" more, meaning that the injection timing becomes "early."
No power to N108 = earlier injection start; power to 108 = later injection start.

To troubleshoot: simply measure the voltage between the connector and the positive terminal of the battery. One of the contacts on the connector should have 0V, or it should always have 0V.

Thank you for the schema.
If the wiring diagram for my Passat 95 is correct, then something is wrong because the N108 sensor should be connected to both the ECU and the mass airflow sensor (G70), and if I disconnect the connector from G70, the N108 connector shows a voltage of around 8 volts (according to the diagram, it should be isolated from voltage).

Impossible. I suspect the number of the power path where it continues is different for you than in the schematic diagram posted, because they don't match.

Hi!
In my wiring diagram N108, pin 1 (wire 1.0, brown/white) connects to the ECU, and pin 2 (wire 1.0, white/yellow) goes to wheel 56, to connector F25, and then to wheel 25, where it reaches pin 3 of component G70. If you have access to connector 1Z, could you possibly measure the voltage between it and the battery?
