Hi everyone,
It seems my engine control unit (ECU) has failed for some reason (year of manufacture: 1997). The warning light is constantly illuminated during driving and won't turn off. According to the Mercedes-Benz workshop, the error code has been read: "ECU defective." I've already tried resetting it myself (by disconnecting the battery, then reconnecting it after about 3 minutes), but the warning light remains on.
Now I've found some specialists who repair these ECUs after you send them by mail for a fixed price of âŹ99. What do you think of that - or where can I find affordable airbag control units?
