Hello everyone,
I've been really stressed for the past 8 weeks dealing with issues with my A6 V6 TDI.
Here's the explanation for the delay (post from August 15th).
The surge tank was repeatedly disassembled due to misdiagnosis. Audi!!
In this case, the fuel pump must have been damaged (it's unstable).
Therefore, there was always a fuel shortage error message, and the engine power was reduced. It stopped working!
I wanted to measure the Ohm values on the old, modified sensor, but I didn't get any readings.
Then I wanted to take measurements on the newly installed part. The connector plug was loose!
The plug connector was broken! Also, the warning light was always on.
No workshop followed a logical procedure. Today, I wouldn't remove the trunk floor to measure the sensor; I would measure it directly at the connector on the control unit in the front.
Full tank: 430 ohms; Empty tank: approximately 100 ohms.
I don't trust workshops.
Thank you to Bosch. Excellent contact. After I made an inquiry, the customer service department contacted me by phone.
I also had a pleasant contact with VDO. They manufacture the pre-charging unit.
The Audi hotline only told me to contact my local Audi dealer.
I've never been a professional mechanic; I always just considered it a hobby.
It makes me wonder how someone can sometimes achieve more than the professionals.
Best regards, Willi.

Good news!
So, out of necessity, you ended up becoming a mechanic after all...
But why a new topic?
I would have preferred if you had posted the solution in the first place.
