Update software

Hello.
I have a 2002 A4 TDI PD with 130 horsepower.
and I would like to update my control unit.
Where and who can do that?
I called my local Audi dealer, and they told me...
There is no update available for my car.
Is he right, but just doesn't feel like it?
I hope this will help me get rid of the engine misfire.

I'm leaving in about 2 months.
I previously owned a C220 CDI, and before that, a Golf 4 TDI with 110 horsepower.
And both of them ran at a calmer pace.
Otherwise, the Audi is running great, but I find the occasional "stuttering" or "hesitation" very annoying.
It only happens at certain engine speeds, specifically in gears 3-6, and at around 1700-2100 RPM.
