There used to be a guestbook here... Am I just imagining things, or has it actually been "lost"?

Yes, I used to have a guestbook CGI script running on this server.
Unfortunately, it has been used for everything else, but not as a guest book.
Although I had previously requested that technical questions be discussed in the forum (including a link), a very large number of technical questions (actually, almost all of them) ended up there.
Since maintaining, or rather migrating, it to the forum took a significant amount of time (it was a custom-built CGI script and not integrated into the forum), I deactivated it a few months ago.
It's a shame, but what can I do? Theoretically, it could be revived as a forum, but then the forum overview page would become even larger, and I fear it would require a lot of effort to move the entries to the appropriate forum again.

Ah, that's why.
I probably would have done the same thing under those circumstances.
