Hello,
My AHF engine (with 148 horsepower - Tuneline version) needs a new injector.
Now there are 216 or 232 nozzles --> originally 205.
Is it advisable to switch directly to 232 tires, or are 216 tires sufficient?
The soot emissions are expected to increase by 232, which is due to the higher...
The boost pressure should no longer be a factor.
I think the chip increases boost pressure by about 10%, but only during overboost.
The pressure in that area is significantly higher.
Do you have any experience with models that produce minimal soot emissions?
The HD part of the VP is originally 10mm.
Best regards, Max.

The turbocharger pressure should not matter anymore. | So, does it produce more soot or does it not matter?
"In most cases, even with increased lambda (air-fuel ratio), there is very little excess air available in engines that have been modified with performance chips."
If you then screw in even larger nozzles, you will almost certainly get excessive soot production, even with just one setting (205 -> 216).
Therefore, larger nozzles should generally only be used with adjustments to the tuning. Gruß Ulf

No, soot is not insignificant!
VTG doesn't like that.
Now there's absolutely no smoke coming out, and that's good and wonderful.
So, it looks like we'll be back to having 205 of them again.
Thank you for the tip.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone might have the Bosch part number that's printed on the injector nozzles.
It would be great if you could help me with that.

Hi Martin: Unfortunately, it's not listed there either.

If I'm not mistaken, I think I already found them there... because everything is listed with a Bosch part number.

For operation on the road, I would use a maximum of 216 nozzles, and you will definitely have to deal with soot in that case (which is still manageable). If you plan to increase the boost pressure, it might work again (although I would then use a different turbocharger as well).
The .232 nozzles are so large that you'll practically turn into a mobile fog machine, especially at lower speeds. Fährt mit Golf 3 TDI Umbau (von AFN auf ARL)

I cannot confirm that.
With 232 injectors and proper tuning, it doesn't produce significantly more smoke than with 205 injectors.
"If I had known that earlier, I would have installed them myself now. In the higher RPM range, you noticeably have more power reserve compared to using 205 injectors." B.Eng (FH) u. KFZ Meister

"Using 232 injectors with the AHF system is possible, but only in conjunction with modified software. Simply swapping injectors alone doesn't make sense and will likely result in excessive soot production. If you want to maintain your current tuning, even the 216 injectors are not suitable."
Either both or leave it as is.
