CAN Gateway A3 8PA: Incorrect Coding?

After I installed the RNS-E navigation system and the Audi phone module, my CAN gateway says...

Well, it wasn't like that before. Remaining encodings:

I only added to byte 3, bit 7 of the CAN gateway encoding. Do I need to set the bit for "navigation" instead of, or in addition to, the bit for "radio"?

Was mir auch noch aufgefallen ist: Über das MuFuLe kann ich die Telefon-Adressliste sehen (nach Druck "Mode" erscheint die Liste im FIS); im Navi-Tel-Menü kommt aber nix. Momentan ist die Handy-Halterung aber noch nicht angeschlossen, d.h. z.Zt. BBluetooth only.

P.S.: I would not recommend retrofitting the original hands-free system in the A3 8PA to anyone! That's really a job for someone who has "killed" their mother and father!!!

Short feedback: I figured it out now.

* When using the CAN gateway, radio and navigation must be coded.
* For the telephone TCU, in addition to the encoding from OpenODB.org, a "1" must be encoded before it (so, for me, it's 00101411 instead of 0001411).

Maybe this will help someone in the future.

Did you have a NaviPlus system installed before, or just a regular radio?

I'm experiencing a similar problem.

While coding (THANK YOU B. ) my RNS-E in conjunction with the NOKIA 6091 integrated system, the following "error" occurred:

STG 56 / 07 was programmed with the code 0301315, which resulted in the following error:

With this setting, when I press the RNS-E/TEL button, I get the message: "Please use a mobile phone!" However, as mentioned above, I am experiencing the error.

... when using the coding (xxxx?xx) 0301415 or 0301715, it does NOT cause any errors in the control unit. However, when I press the RNS-E/TEL button, I get the message "No phone available," and I am also experiencing problems with the Nokia 6091 (e.g., in conjunction with the MFL).

The strange thing is, I can't program the telephone system (STG 77). I can change the codes, but unfortunately, I can't save them.

I'm not surprised - the fixed installation of the Nokia device can't communicate with the RNS-E system. You need the UHV for that, as it's the only device that can.

Universal phone preparation - which also works with the 8P.

Control unit part number: ALWAYS 8P0 862 335 xx (xx = corresponding index).

Thank you for the information. But will simply replacing the control unit with a UHV be sufficient? Will my Nokia 6091 then be able to communicate with the new control unit and the RNS-E?

No, it's either a fixed installation OR a universal head unit (UHV), and it needs to be connected to the RNS-E.
Neither option is possible!
