Hi,

more or less, so that the search has something to find (regarding the fixing of the issues).

"Over the weekend, my Golf got 'decorated' with paint splatters from the painter who was working on the house in front of it."

The spots are very small and everywhere. However, they can still be removed individually with a fingernail.

Cost estimates from Volkswagen:

- Cleaning, similar to removing wax from new vehicles - approximately 100 EUR.
- Complete polishing (if cleaning is not sufficient): 300-400 EUR.

Currently, I've agreed with the painter that we'll first try the "cleaning" option, and I should provide him with the invoice.

Currently, the Trekker is still at VW, but the initial attempts to clean it this morning were promising.

No problem...

'My car often ends up parked in front of my friend's house, right in the path of the dust extraction system. Usually, you can wipe it off with a cleaner. If that doesn't work, try polishing, and if it's really bad, use 3M abrasive compound – it'll remove anything.'

Watch closely...

Okay, so...

Trekker is clean (the washing nozzles are now gray icon_sad.gif).

The invoice will be sent to the painter, and he said he is insured against such incidents.

To restore the black color to the nozzles, you can use silicone spray. I did that to mine after polishing.
