OBD II adapter to 15-pin

Hello,

Could I possibly get such an adapter over the weekend for testing?
It's otherwise attached to a Gutmann workshop tester.

but 15-pin is quite unusual...???

Is there anything we need to be aware of?

And: Where can I find the diagnostic port on a 2002 Ibiza?

Due to diagnostic port:

If your Ibiza from 2002 is a 6K model (meaning it was manufactured before May 2002; those produced after that are likely the 2003 model with the type designation 6L), then carefully remove the cover panel where the fuses are located (the owner's manual and a small storage compartment are also inside). Behind that, you'll see the port.

I have a 6L engine with 96 kW. Where is the fuse box located?

Unfortunately, I cannot help you with that. Common locations for the port would be:

Below the dashboard, usually where the fuse box is located, behind a clipped-on cover (this is how it is on the 6K models).

Besides the ashtray hidden behind a plastic cover (as it is in the Golf).

I once read something about a rear ashtray in a car, but that seems strange to me.

Otherwise, take a look at the pages about VAG-COM; I saw an overview there somewhere, but I can't find it again now.

If you've found it, please share it; I'm sure others would be interested too.

What is the fuel consumption like for you with the 96 kW machine, and what kind of driving profile are you using? (Just curious.)

Unfortunately, I cannot help you with that. Out of curiosity, what is the typical fuel consumption for your 96 kW machine, and what driving profile are you using?


So far, after 1600 km, the fuel consumption is exactly 7.1 liters, which is quite high considering a rather aggressive and mixed driving style. This includes some laps on the Nordschleife circuit, highway driving at 180-200 km/h, and reaching the maximum speed.

If you drive more gently, you can achieve a fuel consumption of around 5 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway; driving faster will definitely result in less than 7 liters per 100 kilometers. The rest remains to be seen.
Aber der lange 6. The vibe is great!

Amazing: After every cold start, the onboard computer calculates a fixed value and applies it to the fuel consumption reading. And the fuel consumption at low temperature is lower than at high temperature (0.5-0.6 versus 0.6-0.7).

I might consider adding a chip later, but only if it's well-designed and offers better efficiency at low loads.
