How can I read out the coding of my engine control unit (ECU)? The part number is 038 906 019 JQ.
1.9L R4 EDC G000SG 1570, or where can I find the coding information for this?
Thank you in advance.

I already have that information. But I didn't remember it. And if I need the answer quickly, it's easier to just ask. But, as always, the answer to the first question raises even more questions...
The coding for me is set to 00002.
Does the coding or the STG number indicate whether two control units can be programmed or not? (Is it possible to switch between a tuning file and the standard configuration by changing the coding?)

Based on the given encoding, it is difficult to determine whether other encodings are possible.
The VAG part number would be more helpful, but I don't have Windows running right now, so I can't easily look it up.
If you're interested in a switchable tuning option, please send me a private message.
Best regards, Rainer.
