Hello,
My engine (AAZ) makes a clicking sound when I accelerate and under partial load. It's not very loud yet, but it's noticeable at lower speeds. It also seems to be getting louder with increasing mileage (or at least that's what I think). The engine has 176,000 km on it and was manufactured in June 1993.
What could be the cause? (I mean, it might be the valves, or something like that.) Does anything need to be done?
Perhaps someone could recommend a book or website where I can learn more about this. If anything needs to be done, I would prefer to do it myself, if possible and without requiring any specialized tools, for both cost-effectiveness and enjoyment.
Hello.
Gerald.

Hello,
'A clicking sound that seems to be coming from the engine compartment, specifically from the area around the transmission/engine. I'm very familiar with this noise; I've heard it in my AAZ for 50,000 km, and it hasn't changed. At some point, I just stopped noticing it. I'm also curious what it actually is, although I still suspect something related to the clutch cable.'

Here are the sounds my AAZ engine makes:
at 1800 and 3600 RPM:
'Grrr' - a loud, metallic vibration, coming from somewhere in the exhaust system.
A new inner tube solved the problem in 14 days. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I hear it on almost every passing GIII AAZ!
-> straightforward / no problem.
sometimes:
klackern ähnlich wie ABS, nur niederfrequenter. Perhaps it will work.
'some pipe somewhere. Could that be what you described?'
It could be a noise.
-> straightforward / no problem / uncomplicated
What else is supposed to be there:
Incorrect crankshaft bolt. The 8.8 grade bolts loosen and vibrate.
dem Kurbelwellenstumpf. Nit gut. Sofort überprüfen. M'It's a size 12.8.'
Screw it in. The 8.8 series was a long-running product. You can see it from below.
