Hello,

The Ducato TDI ran for almost 60,000 km on a single tank of diesel. On a cold November day, I didn't have much time for the auxiliary heater and only let it run for 5-7 minutes... Then, when I shifted into third gear, the engine stalled. Luckily, it's only 500 meters from home...

Okay, we've now disassembled the pump, and the following defects have been identified:

-Stylus broken on the rotating disc.
- Piston stuck.

Okay, here's the translation:

Now, my questions:

The pump number is: 0 460 414 129.

EDIT: It appears to be an 11mm pump piston. Would it be worth installing a 12mm high-performance part? Or will I just have problems with the adjustment? Does anyone know what injector size the 116 horsepower 2.5 TDI Ducato engine has?

Furthermore, I noticed that the ring of the set selector was very stiff. What effect did this have? It used to cause jerky movement when sliding. Could that have been the reason?

Sure, here's the translation:

'Thank you in advance.'
Best regards, Rodion[/b]

0 460 414 129 = VE4/11F1900R535-1 icon_wink.gif

Comparison numbers.

Fiat / Iveco / Lancia = 99454610

The injectors should ideally be DSLA 145 P 300, but it's difficult to say for sure without more information. icon_wink.gif

Hello,

Yes, I already checked the eCat and only got that information.
The text provides no further information about the nozzles, except for the nozzle holders, which have the part number 0 431 114 984.

The pump piston is measured at 11mm.
How much should one spend on an 11mm HD part?

What do you think of a 12mm HD part?

Can I get more power out of it by using a different propeller?

Best regards, Rodion.

Hi,

Logically, the larger HD version has more processing power. Only: If the current pump is already causing problems, a larger and therefore more heavily stressed high-pressure component will certainly not improve the situation.

Hello,

One learns from mistakes, or at least, I do.
I actually had the parts for the conversion lying around, I just hadn't had the time to do it.
Well, I just bought a 11mm HD lens at a good price, so that question is resolved for now.

But what about the propeller?

They differ in terms of their slope and peak height.
To what extent can I influence that?
Is it even worth it?

Best regards, Rodion.

11mm or 12mm.

Be happy when the pump starts working again. Then, I would get a replacement pump and convert it to 12mm. After that, you can test it thoroughly and at your leisure. It's important that the car runs; if you experiment too much, you might break it, and then you'll be annoyed. icon_wink.gif

Hi,

Yes, that's true, it's definitely a bit safer.

A new impeller from Bosch costs 120 euros.
Are there any alternative sources available?

Best regards, Rodion.
