HI,
Yes, our BLS had a problem initially because it didn't want to accept long-life tires. At that time, there was a new AI system; now, it's resolved through an update and an action sticker. After that, everything was okay.
Now, it's driven less than it used to be (120,000 km in the first 20 months).
But why does it need to go to the service after only 10,400 km?
546 days and he wants to be 14... but he was only born in February 2011.
OK, it's a city car... but does that make such a drastic difference / is it allowed to do so?

What does "drastically" mean? He wants to switch after 1.5 years, which is completely normal, considering there are only a maximum of 2 options available, especially for short distances, etc. MfG. Michael

Okay, if you look at it that way, it makes sense.
I was surprised by the 10,400 km and had always only looked at the mileage as a prediction.
I probably need to improve my forecasting Excel sheet . Transparency, Teamwork

Pointless discussion.
However, I would definitely not let a car that only drives 1,500 km per year run on the same oil for 10 years, no matter what the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommends as the interval.
All the time/distance calculations I learned about through the WIV seemed very reasonable to me (with the exception of T5). I have significantly revised my skepticism about the WIV, but I still switch gears at least once per ride, even if it means going below the recommended minimum.
@ Martin , I also think that 1.5 out of 2 years is already a very good value for short distances.

Mööööp .... The candidate receives 0 points!

With a fixed interval, Martin should have appeared for the service 6 months ago, because the 12 months had already expired...

Something similar is happening to my car now.
My AXR engine is in a similar situation to Martin's BLS engine. Even though I was using LL3 oil, I changed it after 12 months and 9500 km. I'm sure it would have lasted until 12 or 14,000 km, which would have been about 1.5 years.
But why should I unnecessarily strain my engine?
The non-LL oil is significantly more expensive for me anyway, so I'll stick with the LL service. Gruß Bertil

@ Bertil
How much does a liter of LL3 oil cost you? Really good 5W40 PD oil costs about 8€ per liter.
