Increase idle speed with VAG-COM?

Hey everyone!

The idle speed of my wife's 1998 Polo, with a AEE engine (1.6L gasoline), is only 670 RPM. What could be the causes of this, and can I increase the idle speed using VAG-Com (shareware version)?
I read the article about adaptation channels, but I didn't really understand it.
(I hope it's not a problem that I'm posting about a gasoline car in this diesel forum.)

Just like my mother-in-law's G3 (AEX, year of manufacture '97).
There was also an error entry in the ECU (speed control, adaptation limit exceeded/undergone).
The cause was the throttle body unit. The normally present air gap, even when the valve is closed, was completely blocked by deposits. I removed the throttle body unit and soaked it in gasoline (it took almost 10 minutes for the gasoline to start flowing through).
After cleaning the throttle body, the idle speed was correct and the error code could be cleared.

I had an error code in the engine control module (17978 Engine Control Module Blocked by Immobilizer 35-10, intermittent), but I don't believe the immobilizer system has anything to do with the idle speed.

Although the engine only has 15,000 kilometers (approximately 9,300 miles), I'm going to try cleaning it, as deposits may have formed.
