Does anyone know if there are any catalogs where I can find the exact dimensions of turbochargers? Specifically, I'm looking for a GT1749VB, but with a different exhaust manifold.
I have a PD TDI engine installed in my T3 bus, and it's possible that my original bus engine mounts might fit again if I shift the turbocharger slightly.
The original exhaust manifold is designed so that the turbocharger is positioned at the level of the first cylinder.
Or does anyone know of a shop that can manufacture or modify cast elbows?
The JX has the turbocharger located in front of cylinder 4.

The cylinder located to the left, opposite [...] the power output side/clutch, is referred to as the first cylinder.
But I don't understand why you want to go through such complicated procedures like "building the engine mounts yourself" when there are ready-made engine mounts for TDIs available for the T3. Some even come with two hydraulic mounts.
I wouldn't want to attach a TDI engine to the old rubber bushings of the JX.
Then, before the 4th [hour/minute/etc.]. Facing forward, in the direction of travel.
I've built enough brackets in my DIY life, and the ones from Jäger aren't very attractive.
I want a renovation that doesn't look like a renovation .
