in the fault memory of the following vehicle:

Volkswagen Golf 3, 1.6L engine, AEA code, manufactured in 1995, with 210,000 km mileage, is experiencing the following issue:

00515 Camshaft Position (Hall) Sensor (G40) 03-00-No Signal

The Golf has issues when it's cold (e.g., rough idling) and, in my opinion, has a relatively high fuel consumption (around 10 liters).

What does this error mean? By the way, it reappears after deleting.

Did you check the plausibility of the engine temperature using VCDS?
Candle holders often cause problems too.
